But Can We Be Friends ?

would you know ? those overtures of eye-contact are flashing at me there from your eyes
mark my words, I know that there's eventually one question that is bound to arise
yeah, well,
we can be lovers, yeah, that much makes sense

take the chance, my hopes are all for betting on the probability of a yes
make a move, but what might happen after that is free for all and anyone's guess

then again, do we both know the destination waiting at the end of the ride ? huh ?
