up above is where our hearts will fly
heavenwards within the azure sky
in a sky of such immensity
filled with passionate intensity
shafts of sun invade and fill the air
from the heart and shining everywhere

for in the eyes of love is sweetness
and with the eyes of love I see
you are my world and its completeness
the very breath of life to me

just as burning sun and sky caress
so it is with our togetherness
dreams begun when we romanticize
find fulfilment when we fantasize
union of perfect time and space
each within each other's soft embrace

the most important part of life is knowing you are there
and feeling you are close to me
close in body and mind, as we both reach to touch the sky
and bathe within the warmness of the sun

the fundamental truths, the reasons for it all,
the answers to life's mysteries
all are gently revealed
when we unfold and spread our wings
and soar across a sacramental sky

mutual reciprocations bring
union confirming everything
furnishing the explanation why
burning sun has placement in the sky
love decided that there needs must be
sky and sun, existence, you and me
