how beautiful a baby's face
how full of form, how filled with grace
the symmetry of growing flowers
and every drop in summer showers
in every curve, in every line
there's something that reflects design
there's something that delights in perfection of form

what consciousness delights to make
the patterns in a small snowflake ?
what motivating force endowed
such beauty on a floating cloud ?
I know there's no necessity
and yet I feel it has to be
there is this sense of good and a purpose to life

observe geometrical shapes
the truth in triangles and squares
the traces of trees on landscapes
the proof that there's something that cares

the architecture seems to be
the essence of simplicity
I gaze upon these things and feel
some mystery that they reveal
all as it were performed and done
deliberately by someone
or something that delights in creativity
