A Love Worth Keeping

sometimes a relationship's hard
when little things irk, there are disagreements
losing sight of reason you'll find
that problems can grow out of all proportion

don't exaggerate and misjudge
just stop and think about why you're both still together

get a grip, and see common-sense
the person whom you love is the thing most important

never let a stupid mistake
or angry remark make you lose perspective

arguments and tempers can flare
but don't let stubborn pride keep you from reconciling

count to ten, and then count again
it's not much sacrifice for the person you treasure

bear in mind that difficult times
can be overcome with consideration

never mind what problems are there
a love that you share
is a love worth keeping
