There is a Danger

if you come on to me and use your voice to make sirenic noise
I'll have to utilise some strategy to counteract your ploys
or if my mannerisms make it crystal clear my wall is scalable
I'll have to work on ways to hide from you the fact that I am nailable, assailable

if you persistently keep fluttering your eyes I mustn't fail
to find a method to withstand your strong attack and countervail
cos with your weaponry you're waging wars
and if I look into those eyes of yours, well
there's a danger I might fall in love with you

if you provocatively put on one of those enticing smiles
so irresistibly designed to subjugate me with your wiles
or if you pounce on me, just like a bird attracted by a wriggly worm
I must retain a rigid frame and cool composure, yes, I mustn't squirm, I must be firm

so if you speak with that voluptuous, angelic, velvet voice
and I allow myself to hear it, then I fear I'll have no choice
I am resolved that I must not submit
cos if I even weaken just one bit, well
