some people think it's wine and mince-pies
turkey with all the trimming
just an excuse for dancing and highs
parties with glasses brimming

some people say there's more of a message, something about more caring
and taking the time to think what it means
to really give love and ponder upon the values in life
well that's up to you, but all I can say is

reindeer and snowball-fighting
holly and tinsel hung on a tree
flashing with coloured lighting

some people say behind all the glitter lies a much deeper meaning
something about the the purpose of life
and focussing on the people in want, and others in need
well that's up to you, but all I can say is

some people simply pamper themselves
