he offers gratitude, he said he wants to know,
but now please leave him, he needs silence to consider just which way to go

he had a thousand plans, they cannot now be done
for now that time has limitations he must carefully pursue just one

he thinks he'll be fulfilled if he can just express several simple things inside
when he is broken-hearted, what will they have imparted ?
nothing profound . . .

he will content himself with Summerdays, with Midnight, and Sublime
