What A Beautiful World !

oh what a treat for the nose
when the rain rinses morning air
and the cool in the breeze
is a heavenly refreshment carrying away all care

or just to stand in the rain
and to feel raindrops touch the skin
or to wallow in sun
and to savour the sensation slowly as the rays soak in

oh what a beautiful world ! oh what a thing I've seen !
I'm only too aware of what a privilege it's been
the music of it all is like a lullaby
who could deny it ?
if I tell you true now
when time comes it will be hard for me to say goodbye

oh what a marvellous joy
just to go for a seaside stroll
all the sights and the sounds
and the motions of the waters gladden and uplift the soul

or then to climb up a hill
and take time out to stand and stare
and stop and listen to leaves
that are/lightly rustling in the winds and offering a whispered prayer

oh what a beautiful world ! oh what a thing I've seen !
