Sure as One and One is Two

there are fundamental truths in life it's impossible to prove
who knows why a new born baby must cry or what makes the planets move ?

there are things we seek to understand using fundamental laws
there are other things we don't analyse, we don't need to know their cause

the jubilation when a morning bird sings
the soft delight a dawn awakening brings
the sense of joy and mystery
as sun arises on the horizon

the pleasant feeling of the tranquillity
when moon is shining on nocturnal sea
what moves our hearts to gaze up on high
at stars that sparkle in night sky ?

we don't need to question why stars glow, we know simply that they do
where's the need to find a reason behind something beautiful and true ?
