Love You a Lot

there are practised manipulators of living language
who succinctly put pen to paper and speak their heart
placing their thoughts on love in most attractive turns of phrase
in smooth mellifluous outflowings of sounds all gently juxtaposed
I don't profess my mouth can make utterances so sweet
but inside my heart the feelings are just as profound
so I say I will not pretend to pretensions
I'm no master of words, but believe this or not
in my simple way I simply want to say
I think you're beautiful and I want you a lot
I love you a lot

there are phrases that gush the essence of sentimental
and there are florid expressions oozing with sweet romance
encapsulating experience the human heart has felt
right from the dawn of recorded history, in fact since all time began
and if I searched and scoured the universe
maybe I could find the words to express myself
but I'm not the master of phrases so subtle,
that's perfectly true, but believe it or not
in my own sweet way I simply want to say
I think you're beautiful and I want you a lot
I love you a lot
